On October 20, 2025, IPCO, together with Elvenite, went live with an upgrade from Infor M3 Single Tenant to Infor M3 CloudSuite. The transition was executed across 33 sites in 31 countries simultaneously, in a classic follow-the-sun rollout, with minimal disruption to daily operations.

IPCO, a Swedish industrial company with roots in Sandvik, designs and manufactures high-performance steel belts and process solutions for the mining, chemical, and food industries. With operations in 31 countries, seven production sites, and deliveries to around 100 markets, IPCO’s ERP landscape is both global and complex.
Before the project, IPCO ran an older on-premise Single-Tenant version of M3 (13.4). To secure long-term system support and gain access to continuous improvements, the company decided to move to Infor M3 CloudSuite Multi-Tenant. The goal was a technical lift - no process redesign, just a smooth, low-impact transition to a modern cloud platform in the first step. Improvements to business processes and flows are taken as the next step in phase 2.
The plan took shape after a pre-study led by Elvenite, which mapped IPCO’s business processes, integrations, and customizations. The ambition was clear: all 33 sites would go live in a single Big Bang, within roughly 11 months, retaining existing processes and implementing only essential changes. The project was executed using Elvenite’s ELEVATE methodology - a structured framework built specifically for M3 implementations.
On October 20, 2025, the switch was flipped. The rollout followed the sun - as morning arrived in each country, sites went live one by one. The transition was stable, and during the first two weeks of hypercare, incident volumes dropped quickly and remained at a low level. No major business disruptions were reported.
Today, IPCO operates fully on Infor M3 CloudSuite, supported by Elvenite’s Application Management Services. The project has strengthened IPCO’s internal M3 competence, established readiness for Feature Release Management, and produced a documented list of improvement opportunities for future development. The result: a secure, modern platform built for efficiency and scalability.
Success came down to focus and discipline: a clear project scope with minimal process changes, two full-scale UAT cycles with over 17,000 test cases, early communication and delegated local leadership, detailed cut-over and Go-Live planning, a ready Hypercare organization, and close collaboration between IPCO and Elvenite’s consulting team.
What may appear to be “just” a technical migration was in reality a globally coordinated transformation executed in a single, synchronized rollout. With a stable cloud foundation now in place, IPCO is well positioned for continuous improvement and long-term growth, across its global operations.
