Intro
Infor M3 upgrade paves the way for a smooth cloud journey
SMD Logistics uses Infor M3 and was running version 13.2. As a step towards Infor M3 Cloud Suite (M3CE), they chose to first upgrade to the latest on-prem version, M3 13.4, as a milestone for the cloud journey. This has been done by upgrading to the latest technology platform, including Infor OS, MeC, the latest user interface, minimising the number of modifications, updating the print management to XML out, and also reviewing and updating integrations for surrounding systems based on the opportunities available today for M3.
Elvenite has been entrusted with full responsibility as the implementation partner for the upgrade of M3, including associated peripheral systems, covering installation, migration, document updates, configuration, training, testing, and project management. SMD Logistics went live with Infor 13.4 with a very successful outcome.
It has felt very safe to work with Elvenite as a partner in the project. Many of the consultants who have helped us in the project are ones we have worked with for nearly 15 years, and in addition to being experts in M3, they also have a very good understanding of our processes and know our business well. What I also think Elvenite does very well is their way of introducing new consultants, who start by "shadowing" the experienced consultants and, in addition to M3 and the consultancy role, also learn about the client's business.
