Lantmännen Biorefineries (formerly Lantmännen Agroetanol) is Northern Europe's largest agriculture-based biorefinery. Lantmännen Biorefineries is part of Lantmännen, an agricultural cooperative owned by Swedish farmers with activities throughout the value chain from farm to fork.

Case

Outdated business system hindered digitalisation and growth

The existing ERP system was outdated and no longer met the needs of the business, creating challenges around maintenance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness. They needed a new solution that could:

• Support existing production
• Lay the foundation for a new production facility
• Create common business processes to enable consolidation of the business
• Manage mass balance to optimise climate performance for ethanol production

Infor M3 enables unified processes and better resource optimisation

The solution is based on a standardised implementation of Infor M3, with the possibility of moving the system to the cloud in the future. During the project, an innovative mass balance solution was developed to effectively calculate climate performance for green ethanol. The project included:

• Implementation of modules in finance, production, inventory, logistics, procurement, marketing, and sales
• Unified process documentation to increase system and process knowledge
• Digital collaboration via Microsoft Teams and Kanban boards
• A close partnership between the customer and supplier with clear backing from management

The project was delivered on time and on budget and resulted in:

• A fully functional ERP solution from day one, without any critical disruptions
• A stable foundation for future cloud migration
