Elvenite has won the hackathon "Track the Stack", organised by BioFuel Region as part of the BioBoosters Hackathon concept. This exciting event, in collaboration with Skellefteå Kraft, challenged participants to revolutionise data analysis and digitalisation within energy – a crucial part in creating a more sustainable future.
Skellefteå Kraft, one of Sweden's largest energy suppliers, annually handles large amounts of forest-based biomass to produce 1 TWh of district heating. Today, data collection is partially manual, creating opportunities for data-driven innovation and automation.
The hackathon challenged participants to develop an AI-driven solution for predictive analysis, where they could improve tracking, forecasting, and safety monitoring of biomass in real-time.
We at Skellefteå Kraft look forward to working with Elvenite. We see great potential in their AI-driven methodology and the way they combine digitization with energy optimization.
We focused on utilizing existing data while identifying gaps to create a predictive analytics model. Through advanced data visualization and automation, we presented a solution that:
Winning this hackathon is more than just an award - it is a confirmation that AI, IoT, and data analysis play a crucial role in the development of future energy solutions. With this technology, Skellefteå Kraft can modernise its processes, reduce waste, and create a more sustainable energy supply.
This is our second consecutive hackathon victory, highlighting our expertise in data-driven business development and the digitalisation of industrial processes.
In addition to the competition, the event gave us the opportunity to network with industry leaders in AI, energy, and digital technology. We look forward to turning our idea into a proof of concept or pilot project where we can test our solution in real-world environments.
We would like to extend a big thank you to BioFuel Region, Skellefteå Kraft, as well as all participants, jury members and mentors who made the "Track the Stack" hackathon an inspiring experience.
