On 9 March, Infor CloudSuite was deployed at Spendrups Brewery following a very successful go-live. Spendrups has thereby taken an important step towards a future-proof business system and a modern cloud-based, "evergreen" platform, meaning new features and improvements are continuously made available through Infor's ongoing release cycle.
The project began with a feasibility study in January 2024 and transitioned in the autumn of the same year into an upgrade project. Since 2013, Spendrups has been using an older on-prem version of Infor M3 (version 10.1) with extensive functional modifications.
In connection with the upgrade to Infor CloudSuite, these modifications have been replaced by solutions within the standard framework. This has been made possible thanks to Infor CloudSuite’s modern standard tools as well as Novacura, which is used for the mobile applications.
In the initial phase of the project, we at Spendrups formulated a vision for the project. The vision was that the upgrade to a modern system support would lead to more efficient and standardised processes, increased levels of digitalisation, and strengthen the ability to continuously improve and create value for our customers. We can state with great satisfaction that all parts of our project vision have therefore been fulfilled.
In addition to Infor CloudSuite, Spendrups uses Novacura for mobile solutions in areas such as warehouse transactions/WMS, service and production. Infor Development has also played an important role throughout the project and has supported Spendrups in the development of the new solutions.
The project involved a large team of around 90 people from Spendrups and approximately 30 consultants from Elvenite. The project was conducted according to Elvenite's project methodology, which guides the project team step by step through all phases of the project in a structured and controlled manner.
The work was characterised by a clear focus on shared goals, close collaboration and strong commitment from the entire project organisation. Elvenite's clear industry focus, together with a consulting team with extensive experience from the brewery industry and F&B, has been a key factor in the design of the new industry-specific solution.
Together, the project team carried out a very successful project, from design to deployment of a completely new system solution at Spendrups.
The upgrade at Spendrups is one of Elvenite's most important and complex projects to date, and we are very proud that the go-live was carried out exactly according to plan. Spendrups has now taken the step from an on-premise solution with extensive customisations to a modern, standard-based solution in Infor CloudSuite. This creates entirely new opportunities to continuously benefit from new features and develop business support – without the technical limitations that previously existed. The project is completed, but the digitalisation journey has only just begun.
Spendrups uses Elvenite's AMS services, including Application Support and Feature Release Management, to manage the continuous functional releases that Infor provides throughout the year. This ensures that Spendrups can continuously benefit from new features and improvements in Infor CloudSuite and always remain on the latest version of the ERP system. The time for large and complex upgrades is therefore a thing of the past.
