Intro
Since 1998, Åbro had been using an older version of a smaller Swedish business system. The system, which was tailored to Åbro's operations and needs from the 80s and 90s, was no longer the platform on which the company could rely for robust system support and build future solutions. Åbro requested new IT support that could not only assist current business processes but also enable future business development and the digitalisation journey. The company wants to focus its time and energy on business development rather than on technology.
Case
In conjunction with a project, Åbro saw great potential to also streamline and develop its business processes, introduce more mobile solutions, improve integration capabilities, and gain improved financial control and monitoring. The choice fell on Infor Cloudsuite Food & Beverages, with a very good functional match as system support for Åbro's operations. Åbro also chose Medius as the invoice scanning solution and Click & Decide as the BI tool.
Important in Åbro's decision-making process for a new ERP was, of course, the system's functional fit. But equally important for Åbro was the partnership with the chosen implementation partner and the competence, industry knowledge, and trust instilled by the consulting team. Åbro sought a partner with an understanding of the brewing industry (F&B), who could be advisory, proactive, and who could guide Åbro's project team throughout the entire project.
We requested an industry-specific holistic solution instead of standalone digital islands. The motivation to change systems was rooted in the desire for increased operational reliability and cost savings. But above all, the driving force behind the ERP change was the opportunities that a modern business system could provide us at Åbro to achieve our growth targets.
Elvenite offered an initial proof-of-concept arrangement, together with Åbros and Elvenite's intended project team. Over a number of weeks of joint workshops, the team was able to run through the key business processes together in the system while also getting to know the intended teams.
We now have a system tailored for the future, which enables business development and not least the opportunity to collaborate even more closely with our customers. Since Infor's solution runs in the cloud, it simplifies things for the IT side as we do not have to have hardware on site. Updates occur continuously and the program is developed, so for our industry, we also see the cloud as the future to simplify everyday life.
